When Pennsylvania Female College opened its doors in 1869, it provided a transformative education for the women who crossed its threshold. 150 years later, college graduates earn an average 39% more than those without degrees, qualifying for fulfilling careers that would be otherwise impossible. And as our 14,000+ living alumni will attest, a Chatham liberal arts education serves its recipients for life.
For the majority of Chatham students, however, a college education would be unattainable without the support of scholarships. With nearly 100% of Chatham students receiving scholarship aid, there is no better investment in Chatham’s future than a scholarship.
In celebration of Chatham’s 150th anniversary and in recognition of the life-changing impact of scholarships, the Board of Trustees has identified scholarship fundraising as its primary goal. By increasing the number of scholarships available, we will impact not only today’s students, but provide longstanding support for future generations. Your gift to support scholarships, no matter the amount, will help ensure a Chatham education is accessible to all deserving students.
